Greetings from Huong, Ella, and Kaylee from The 88 Project! We are bringing to you news, analysis, and actions regarding human rights and civil society in Vietnam during the week of April 17 to 23. We have an update on the situation of blogger Nguyễn Ngọc Như Quỳnh, who has been held incommunicado for six months. Violence over land seizures was definitely a hot spot in the news – note that it occurred not only in Đồng Tâm, where most eyes were, but also elsewhere in the country. And there is other news and analysis on religious freedom, asylum seekers, dissidents, and the death penalty. Last but not least, please take action for blogger Nguyễn Ngọc Như Quỳnh, whose health and safety statuses are currently unknown.
